Chrysalis Vehicle Exterior
for Encounters Arts.
I was asked to design the outside of this amazing converted Luton van fitted internally with wood from one redwood (sequoia) tree. The brief was to express the ethics and purpose for the variety of activities it would be used for. These are issues of climate change, future living systems, our changing relationship as part of nature, new environmental thinking, community actions, wellbeing issues. So quite a lot! This was about dodging cliches and suggesting concepts obliquely while not restricting a variety of uses. Also producing the logo and font. It is interesting to see how this developed from the initial publicity design at the early stages when looking for tenders to make the vehicle. Note that the front cabin has yet to be done.
